Fat Tested Travel Group Cruise

Three nights on the Disney Dream. Come as you are.

This will be my first Disney cruise, and I am not going to pretend to be cool about it. Our group is still small. Some people read that as a reason to wait. I read it as the appeal.

  • Feb 5 to 8, 2027

Honest fit check

Is this the sailing for you?

Nobody puts this in a brochure. I would rather tell you now than take a booking that is wrong for you.

✓Right for

  • First timers who want a short commitment before a longer cruise.
  • Families where the parks are physically too much.
  • Anyone flying into South Florida who wants to add Walt Disney World days on either end. Early February is one of the quietest stretches at the parks all year.

✕Wrong for

  • Anybody shopping on price per night. A Disney cruise will not win that fight, and I will not pretend otherwise.
  • Anyone who wants a locked group rate. There is not one on this sailing.

If price is the deciding factor, ask me about the other 2027 group cruises. One of them starts under $600 a person.

How pricing works

No locked rate. A live quote for your party.

Disney prices every stateroom on its own, and prices move. So the ask here is a conversation, not a deposit. Tell me who is coming and I will price your exact party.

  1. Tell me about your party. Who is sailing, and the kind of stateroom you want.
  2. I quote it live. Your price, your deposit, and your final payment date for that stateroom.
  3. You decide. No pressure. If it is not the right fit, I will tell you which sailing is.

What you get when you sail with the group

A plus size travel agent

Ask me the fit, seating, and accessibility questions before you sail. That is the whole reason I do this.

A pre-trip rundown

Before we sail, every stateroom gets the details: your check-in date, port arrival time, and the documents you need for the Bahamas.

Park days, added for you

Want Walt Disney World before or after? I live about ten minutes away and can build the whole trip around the sailing.

A group to sail with

On our first group cruise, I watched how fast a group of strangers turned into a table that saved each other seats at dinner. You will not be cruising alone.

Jason Vaughn of Fat Tested Travel
Your host

Hi, I'm Jason.

I have fat tested more than 40 theme parks and built guides for plus size travelers who want to know what fits before they go. I moved to Orlando to go all in, and I plan Disney, Universal, cruises, and all-inclusive trips.

Our first group cruise sailed out of Tampa in October. It went so well that I put six group trips on the calendar for 2027, and this is one of them.

Good questions

Before you ask

Is there a deposit to join the group?

Not to ask, and there is no special group deposit. When you are ready to book, Disney's standard deposit applies to your stateroom. I will tell you the exact amount and your final payment date when I quote it.

Why is there no group rate?

I do not hold a locked group rate on this sailing. Every stateroom is priced live, so the honest answer is a real quote for your party instead of a number on a flyer.

Do I need a passport?

A passport is the easiest option. This is a round trip sailing from Fort Lauderdale, and U.S. citizens can generally use a birth certificate with a photo ID instead. I go over documents with every stateroom before we sail.

Do I have to be plus size to come?

No. Everybody is welcome. Come as you are.

Can I bring my kids?

Yes. Families are a big part of who this sailing is right for, especially families where a full park week is physically too much.

Can you add Walt Disney World days?

Yes. Tell me when I reply and I will build park days around the sailing. Early February is one of the quietest stretches at the parks.

How fast will I hear back?

Within 24 hours, from me personally. You will also get an email right away confirming I have your request.
